Cataract surgery is the same no matter which IOL you select, but surgeons can use one of two approaches. In traditional cataract surgery, your eye surgeon uses a thin blade to make incisions in your eye, removes the cataract, and replaces it with the artificial lens.; In laser-assisted cataract surgery, the surgeon uses a laser to make the incisions, which allows for more precision and safety. Customer Question: I’m reaching out to see if it’s possible to add a lens that is not currently in the database (i.e. JNJ/AMO DIB00- Tecnis Eyhance). If so, would it be possible to provide instructions on how to add this on the latest software version? If not, do you have an estimate on when this. Only the PROFESSIONAL edition of HICSOAP works with the Lenstar.

Phakic intraocular lens implantation is a surgical procedure to correct vision by placing an artificial lens into your eye without removing the natural lens. ('Phakic' is the medical term used to describe an eye that still has its natural lens in.) PIOL implantation is a more permanent solution to vision correction than the use of contact.
